Terms of Service
Last updated 15 October 2026
These terms apply when your business uses Waypoint, the software made by Waypoint Studio (ABN 33 700 632 024). By starting a trial or a subscription you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Waypoint.
1. What Waypoint is
Waypoint helps you run the work side of your business: bookings, quotes, invoices, jobs, team, costs and cashflow. It prepares figures you can use for your BAS.
Waypoint is not an accounting package or a registered tax or BAS agent. It does not lodge your BAS. You or your accountant should check figures before relying on them or lodging anything with the ATO.
2. Plans, setup and trial
Plans and prices are shown on our website. Prices are in Australian dollars and do not include GST. A one off setup fee applies, which covers setting Waypoint up around your business. It is quoted before you start.
After a demo we may offer a 14 day guided trial. When the trial ends your access pauses automatically unless you choose a plan. Nothing is deleted when a trial ends.
3. Paying
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance unless we agree otherwise. If a payment fails we will let you know and give you time to fix it. If it stays unpaid, access may be paused until it is paid. Your records stay safe while access is paused.
We may change prices with at least 30 days notice. If you do not accept a change you can cancel before it takes effect.
4. Your data
You own the records you put in Waypoint. You can export them at any time from inside the software. We hold them so the software can work and handle personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.
If you cancel, you can export everything first. We keep your records for 60 days after cancellation, then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
5. Your responsibilities
- Keep your login details secure. Each person should have their own login.
- Make sure the people you give access to follow these terms.
- Check quotes, invoices, pay and tax figures before you rely on them.
- If you run a booking page, look after your own customers' personal information properly.
- Do not use Waypoint for anything unlawful.
6. Our software
Waypoint Studio owns Waypoint, including its code, design, methods and documentation. Your subscription gives you a licence to use it while you are subscribed. It is for use in your own business only. You must not copy it, resell it or share access with anyone outside your business.
You own your own content, such as your logo, your price lists and your templates.
7. Availability
We work to keep Waypoint running at all times but cannot promise it will never be unavailable. We will give notice of planned maintenance where we can. Waypoint saves to your device when there is no signal and syncs when you are back online.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about Waypoint is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit or loss caused by figures that were used without being checked or by information entered incorrectly.
9. Ending it
You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We may end your subscription if fees remain unpaid or if these terms are seriously broken and not fixed within 14 days of us asking. If we ever stop offering Waypoint we will give 90 days notice and refund any unused prepaid fees.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms with 30 days notice. If you do not accept a change you can cancel before it takes effect.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of South Australia.
